To our young Readers and Writers: We invite you to the My Own Creations competition. Our goal is to inspire a passion for literature and innovation, giving every student the opportunity to share their unique perspective on the world.

Purpose of the Competition "To inspire students across Tamil Nadu to embrace the power of words and art. We believe that by encouraging Reading, Writing, and Original Thinking, we can foster a creative spirit that addresses the environmental and technological needs of our current world."

Instructions for Your Own Creations

To make sure your entry is ready for the NAM Publication and NLC Contest, please follow these guidelines for your original work. Your creations should focus on the Environment, Current Situations, and Technology.

Student Guidelines

  • Originality: All work must be your own unique creation.
  • Header Details: You must write your Name, Age, Standard, and Topic at the very top of every page or file you submit.
  • Format: For Drawings, use A3 or A4 sheets. For Writing or Travel experiences, try to include a section on "Learning Outcomes" or "What I Saw."

Suggested Topics (Environment & Technology)

  • The Eco-Friendly Invention: Describe or draw a new gadget that helps reduce pollution in your local neighborhood.
  • Nature & Machines in Harmony: How can robots or computers help us plant more trees and save endangered animals?
  • My Green City 2050: A vision of a future city where technology and nature live together without harming the earth.
  • The Smart Water Saver: Design a system for homes or schools that uses technology to ensure not a single drop of water is wasted.
  • A Message from the Future: Write a story or draw a poster about the importance of protecting our current environment for the next generation.
  • The Tree that Talked to the Internet: A story about a magical tree that uses sensors to tell humans when the forest needs more water or protection.
  • Life During a Heatwave: A descriptive piece on how your community is adapting to changing weather and what technology we can use to stay cool sustainably.
  • The Solar-Powered School: Imagine a school that creates all its own electricity and grows its own food—how does the technology work to help the students?
  • Create your own : Your work should reflect how technology can solve modern environmental problems or describe a current situation you see in the world today.

4 Essential Elements to Include

  • The Challenge: Identify a current environmental or social situation that needs improvement.
  • The Creative Solution: Show how your idea or technology fixes the problem.
  • Impact: Explain how your creation helps people or the planet.

Selection Criteria & Awards

  1. District Level Selections: We will select the Top 20 Stories and Top 20 Drawings from every district across Tamil Nadu.
  2. Digital Certificates: All participants who successfully submit their work will receive a Digital Participation Certificate.
  3. Physical Certificates & Prizes: Only the selected candidates (District Winners) will be awarded Physical Certificates and special prizes.
  4. State Finals: District winners will qualify for the final state-level evaluation to determine the overall champions.
